Total proposals per user at a time

Have not decided a good way to reduce the flow of proposals somewhat. Here are a few options that I can think of—let me know which sounds best.

  1. No limits whatsoever—make as many proposals as you want (still subject to bureaucrat deletion)
  2. No more than five per month
  3. No more than three concurrently
  4. No more than two in the span of 30 days
  5. No more than two concurrently
  6. Only one at a time

Having too many would (1) become tiresome to the voting community and (2) would allow the submitter to submit half-baked proposals instead of having their full attention towards getting a single proposal passed. Discussion requirement?

Proposal for new proposal process

Note: the vote below originally took place at Ink Pump, and was moved here because it established the creation of Inkipedia:Proposals.

This is a proposal created by Trig Jegman to introduce a proposal system to Inkipedia. This will allow people to more appropriately introduce changes to the existing site structure, and can also help establish policy precedents as well.

The proposal includes the creation of a dedicated page to submit policy proposals and vote on them. A draft of the page is available [[User:Trig Jegman/Proposals Proposal|here]]. The draft includes proposed rules to govern the process.

Up to and including now, policy proposal votes have taken place in multiple places including Ink Pump, and the rules (from the consensus policy) have not been as clearly defined as what Trig is proposing. Trig's proposal will make it easier to see past policy proposals as they will all be in one place (Inkipedia:Proposals), and it will be easier to submit and process proposals with the rules so clearly defined.

This is a vote to approve the proposed dedicated page for policy proposals, and to approve the proposed rules therein. Please sign your name in the relevant section below to support or oppose this proposal. If there is no opposition, the vote will end on 18 July 2023 at 23:59 UTC. Otherwise, the vote will end on 1 August 2023 at 23:59 UTC.
