The Catalog Section
I don't know exactly why, but the catalog section is kinda messed up for some reason. It's showing the entire catalog page onwards as well. Is that... normal? ...

- The new Catalog's contents were revealed yesterday through the official Splatoon Twitter accounts; here's a link to the posted video showing the Catalog being flipped through. Full Catalog content reveals just before a new season's release have been the standard since Chill Season 2022 last year. Yoshifan52 (talk) 09:35, 23 November 2023 (UTC)

- Hmm, it looks like a transclusion tag was broken earlier, that is indeed abnormal and would have resulted in the page appearing copy-pasted incorrectly. Nice catch! Does it look alright for now on your device? Yoshifan52 (talk) 09:51, 23 November 2023 (UTC)

- The issue should be resolved now. On the Catalog's page Chill Season 2023 section the "section end" content was having typos, resulting in the section starting with the Chill 23 catalog while not ending. Perfectionist (talk) 10:36, 23 November 2023 (UTC)

New Special Introduced by SplatoonJP
What's the standard procedure when content is introduced via Japanese sources and has yet have a localized name? Not that it matters too much in this case (as it's going to be localized within 24 hours anyways) but I figured I'd ask. Lvlen-125 (talk) 09:54, 28 November 2023 (UTC)
- Good question! The standard process for localization-exclusive terminology is using the term as-is (romanizing if necessary) and formatting all instances of it with italics. Pages or sections dedicated to the topic must be accompanied by this notice to establish that the non-English name is used in absence of an equivalent in the English localizations. Since the new Special is expected to have its English name revealed within the same day, it would be best to hold off on adding its Japanese name across the wiki, as it generates a lot of cleanup work that's expected to be rendered unnecessary within just a few hours. I have uploaded the Chill Season 2023 Deep Cut announcement in all languages in video format on Youtube. I can help with typing out & translate Japanese and both Chinese, but I don't know any other languages nor how to type them. Is it still Chill Season 2023 or 2024?
I'm not completely sure if we're still calling it Chill Season 2023 which was the given name when it came out, but now that it's 2024, will we still call it Chill Season 2023, or Chill Season 2024. It would make sense to keep it Chill Season 2023 for clarification that it's not a new season, but that's just my preference - ProPKrules (talk) 16:58, 17 January 2024 (UTC)
- It's still Chill Season 2023. Like with Chill Season 2022, it's based on the date the season starts rather than what year it is throughout. Lyichir (talk) 20:00, 17 January 2024 (UTC)
