New Tableturf icons

Hey CodingAsteroid, I noticed you've been adding some of the new Tableturf card icons. Unfortunately, some of these are going to need to be deleted as they violate policy due to being currently unavailable in-game. The ones that are used by new opponents can stay since they are at least visible in-game even if unobtainable, but I'll be marking the other ones for deletion since we're still several days out from Fresh Season. In-game assets are not allowed unless they are specifically visible in-game, but the images of the cards as they appear in that tweet would be fine. We already have the Japanese versions, but you're welcome to upload the NA images as well (the file upload page can tell you how to obtain the highest quality images from Twitter, if you're not already aware). And yes, we can and definitely will be re-adding all of the icons and associated card info once Fresh Season properly starts, no worries there. :) Driftin Soul [Talk!] 02:13, 27 February 2024 (UTC)

Hi @Driftin Soul, thanks for the clarification on the rules and I apologise for misinterpreting them. I have uploaded the NA images of the cards and they can be seen on the Fresh Season gallery. Using Show Preview

Hi there! I noticed you've made a lot of edits to your userpage in a short span of time. When making a bunch of changes to a single page, please use the "Show Preview" button. This allows you to see what a page will look like before you publish the edit. Fewer, larger edits are much easier for both the site and staff to handle than a bunch of small edits. Thank you!! Yes. And since all edits to pages by anyone who isn't at least autopatrolled are marked as unpatrolled by default, we have to review those manually. FancyRat 15:09, 3 May 2024 (UTC)

Hello there. thank you for your recent contributions however i have recently notice some of your recent contributions are "incorrect" or "misplaced" and i would like to show your mistakes and how i edit them so you wont do them in the future, first of all the Schedule for the Same Ol' vs. Bucket List vs. Save the Day was incorrect as the Splatfest Sneak Peek are usally announced on Fridays not Saturdays i can understand why people misplace dates and stuff however if Splatfests where announced on Saturdays the splatfests would start on Fridays which can confuse people very easily, and the second thing is your recent contribution towards [[:File:S3 Player Creation.mp3]] when you marked it for deletion you did File:S3 Player Creation.mp3}} which is not how you would do it instead to add the files replace do this instead [[:File:S3 Player Creation.mp3]] <-- [[:file:]] and the name of the music/image you want, i once again thank you and apologies for this very long message! Hi @Rūba, thanks for the correction on the Splatfest schedule. It was a mathematical error on my part so thank you for correcting it.

I'm a bit new here and when I was marking the page for deletion I could not figure out how to link to a file. The results I was getting were either a link to a page and not the file or the file itself. Thanks for the info on linking to a file which I will be make sure to use in the future.

Ah, thank you for moving the page. I was getting an error due to the lowercase 'a' in the title and thought it had to be deleted and recreated. Just looking at the User group rights page, it says that autoconfirmed users (which I am) can move pages. Can you please tell me how to do this so that I can do it on my own? If you're on desktop you can simply scroll down the sidebar on the left to "Page tools" and then you should see the "Move" option, and on mobile I believe it's under the dropdown menu for the gear icon at the top of pages; in this case I elected to do it for you because patrollers like myself can suppress the creation of redirects when moving. Otherwise, an admin would have had to step in at some point regardless to delete the leftover redirect (which is generally perfectly fine and shouldn't be seen as a reason to not move pages, just in this specific case I happened to be around and noticed). Recent audio uploads

Hello. Thank you for contributing to the MP3 reupload project! However, your recent uploads do not comply with the Audio guidelines. The file names should be prefixed with a game abbreviation, followed by the official name (only if there is one. Otherwise, use of a conjectural name is ok) and the bitrate should be a constant 160 kbps. Also, please only mark files for deletion once all the links to them have been replaced. I suggest looking over the music ripping guide, which gives detailed info on how to rip the audio from the game files in a way that complies with the guidelines. About deletions

Hey, when marking files for deletion, please make sure to use the "What links here" tool in the sidebar to be absolutely certain all links to a file have been fixed. In the case of the S3 tutorial .oga file you marked, it was still in use on three(!) pages because of the media loader, which doesn't show up in the standard file page usage list. Thank you! Resizing images

Hi CodingAsteroid, I just wanted to let you know that resizing existing files on the wiki is not ideal. Resizing can lead to inaccuracies with individual pixels since it's kind of "guessing" what color each pixel will be, so it's best if the image is just left with the Improve Quality template until it is recaptured in native resolution. In the future, please just leave these files the way they are, unless you can retake them. Thanks! FancyRat 18:11, 6 May 2024 (UTC)

I thought that simply resizing the image would be an easier and more efficient way of getting the images to thier native resoloution as it would otherwise take a lot of precision to retake the photo. Please keep yet to be uploaded images hidden

Hey CodeAsteroid, I saw you unhid the prepared images section soon after the new Splatfest's sneak peek started here; in the future, please don't make the entire gallery section(s) visible until the images have been uploaded. We typically only show the prepared galleries when they are in fact prepared: the red links generated when they're not ready make the article look less clean. Setting up the gallery section is part of the task of uploading those pictures; if you're not going to upload the images, there's no need to be concerned with the preemptive setup of the images' presentation hours in advance. Hi! I saw your translations on the Same Ol' vs. Bucket List vs. Save the Day page and just wanted to clarify if you speak both French, Chinese, Korean, German, and Spanish? It's alright! But yeah, don't put in the machine translation, even if you're sure it's accurate, the wiki would rather prefer not having it instead of having a possibly inaccurate info.
